DAY WISE ITINERARY

 

Day 1:

 

(Distance: 65 kms. / Driving Time: 2 hrs. / Altitude of Thimphu: 2,350 mts.)
Arrival at Paro airport
After completion of immigration formalities at the Paro Airport exit door, you will be met by your Bhutanese Guide
and get transferred to Thimphu. Enroute stop at Chuzom, confluence of Wang Chhu and Pa Chhu rivers.
On arrival Check in at the hotel
Lunch at Restaurant
Evening free for leisure.
Dinner at hotel.
Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu

Day 2:

Thimphu Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel
After breakfast you would be taken for tour of Thimphu City. You would be visiting Kuensel Phodrang, Buddha Statue;
National Memorial Chorten, a Stupa built in 1974; Folk Heritage Museum, traditional 3 storied house; Changangkha
Lhakhang, one of the oldest temple in Thimphu and Motithang Takin Reserve, a wildlife reserve centre for Takin. In
the evening visit Tashichho Dzong, Fortress of the Glorious Religion.

Day 3:

Thimphu – Punakha / Wangdue Sightseeing
(Distance: 77kms. /Driving Time: 2hrs./Altitude of Punakha: 1,310 mts.)

Check out from hotel.
Transfer to Punakha
Halt at Dochula Pass (3,100 mts), famous for the 108 Druk Wangyal Stupas.
Continue to Punakha/Wangdue
Visit Chimi Lhakhang (The Temple of Fertility) It is a short hike of around 30-45 minutes
Visit Punakha Dzong (Located at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Po Chhu Rivers)
Lunch at Restaurant
Evening Free at Leisure
Transfer to Hotel and check-in to Hotel
Dinner at Hotel
Overnight at the hotel in Punakha/Wangdue

Day 4:

Punakha/Wangdue-Paro Sightseeing
(Distance: 140 km / Driving Time: 4 hrs / Altitude of Paro: 2,280 mts)

Checkout from Hotel
Transfer to Paro
Enroute Visit Royal Botanical Garden at Lamperi: Bhutan’s first botanical park.
Visit Tamchog Lhakhang: A traditional temple
On arrival to Paro visit Ta Dzong: National Museum.
Paro Rimpung Dzong : A Buddhist monastery and fortress.
Nemi Zam Bridge : A traditional covered cantilever bridge.

Overnight stay at Hotel in Paro

Day 5: 

Paro Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel
After breakfast, embark on the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). The monastery is located at an altitude of
3,100 mts and requires a 5–6-hour hike.
Lunch at Restaurant
Evening is free for leisure.
Dinner at hotel
Overnight at the hotel in Paro

Note: The hike is steep and involves stiff stairs, so it is not recommended for small children or elderly individuals.

Day 6:

Excursion to Chele La Pass
(Distance: 40 kms. / Driving Time: 2 hrs. / Altitude of Paro: 3,810 mts.)

Breakfast at hotel
Drive to Chele La Pass the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, which separates Paro Valley and Haa Valley.
Enjoy the panoramic views of the Paro and Haa valleys.
Lunch at Restaurant
Transfer to the Hotel
Evening free forleisure.
Dinner at hotel
Overnight at the hotel in Paro

Day 7:

 

Paro Airport – Departure
Breakfast at hotel.
check out from the hotel
Transfer to Paro Airport for Departure Flight.
Departure from Paro Airport by Flight by Bhutan Airlines to India.

06 Nights’ Accommodation at hotels in base category rooms on Twin/Double/Triple sharing basis
(02 Nights Thimphu, 03 Nights Paro and 01 Nights Punakha)

Visa (SDF) Charges
Exclusive non-AC vehicle for all transfers and sightseeing as per itinerary.
The concept of disposal vehicles is not practiced in Bhutan.
The guide and the vehicle shall be available with the guests from 09.00 HRS to 17.00 HRS.

1. Entry Fees for Museums and Monuments is not included in the tour cost and is payable directly.
2. Any services of activities mentioned in the itinerary but not included in the cost inclusion shall be
payable directly by the guests.

Overseas Travel Insurance
Entrance Fees for museums and monuments
Personal expensessuch as laundry, telephone bills, bar bills, tips & gratuity, bottled water etc.
Cost for other activities such as rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, porterage, etc.
Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.
Any cost arising due to unforeseen contingencies such as landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes),
etc. Such expenses will have to be paid directly.
Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation and land arrangements,
which may come into effect prior to departure.
Anything which is not included in the inclusion.
